Occupational English Test – C1 Level
Start Dates: New courses in the school from 2021. Online courses beginning September 2020. For more details about live online classes please click here.
Our OET course is for you if you want to work in Nursing in the UK. It provides students with real healthcare scenarios so they can learn the English they will need for their everyday work. OET tests the 4 language skills of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. All healthcare professionals take the same listening and reading test, but the Writing and Speaking components are specific to a profession, and at Richmond English Live we teach the Nursing syllabus.
Courses are taught intensively for 5 hours a day and each course runs for 1 week. Please note that this is an intensive exam preparation course. The UK Nursing and Midwifery Council currently require that applicants achieve a grade B in all four components of their OET (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking), which is equivalent to Cambridge C1 Advanced Level.
You will therefore need to demonstrate that your English is at this level, and if it is not then we strongly advise taking some General English classes before starting an OET course.
